I present this page in honor of the memory of one of our area's most well known, long time law officers and my personal friend, Abe Swan.  Abe was a true friend to all, was a great lawman and would always back you up if you needed help.  He served the people of this area in a number of law enforcement capacities with several agencies.  Among the accomplishments Abe could list were holding office as the Constable of Precinct One for Angelina County in the late '70's and early 80's.  Abe later became Chief of the Huntington Police Department.

Abe passed away unexpectedly on July 7th, 2003 and is greatly missed by friends and family alike.
